Anyway, just wanted to share some pictures from our day trip to nearby beach town Vung Tao. Most foreigners who want beach and sun in Vietnam will head to Mui Ne or Nha Trang, but local Saigonese have been traveling to Vung Tao for decades. It's located only 2 and a half hours by car from the city, so its proximity makes Vung Tao a nice getaway.
My grandfather used to bring our family to Vung Tao for weekend excursions. So when I went to Saigon, my relatives made sure I had a chance to see it.
Looking happy and relaxed
We went to the Guanyin Temple to pray
Foodie pic. We had seafood soup (not shown here), seafood salad with fresh papaya and daikon, and fried ou a jian (fried oysters)!
Here's my favorite - jumping pic with Bao Bao!
